Gearbox Software posted a picture on Twitter that hints a reveal of the long-awaited Borderlands 3 at PAX East. The picture shows a freeway exit sign, obviously placed in a Borderlands landscape, with a date, March 28, and a location Boston, MA.
Gearbox Main Theater Show will be held at PAX East on March 28, at 2 p.m. ET, and it is located in Boston, Massachusetts. But, it’s the not-so-subtle “Exit 3” at the top of the picture that hints Borderlands 3 will finally be revealed.
The official description for the panel at PAX East states:
“This is your opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at Gearbox Software and Gearbox Publishing, along with the latest news and updates from the makers of Borderlands, Battleborn, Brothers in Arms, and more! We will have never-before-seen reveals, exclusives, and surprises, so don’t miss out!”
Last year at PAX West, Randy Pitchford, the president of Gearbox, said that Gearbox was “working on the thing I think most of you guys want us to be working on.”
Since it’s been more than six years from the release of Borderlands 2, we can only hope that all our guesses about what this picture means will turn out to be true.
