Bethesda confirmed that the next big free update for Fallout 76, Wastelanders, is coming on April 7 to PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
The Wastelanders DLC is coming in the form of a free update and it brings voiced NPCs and a new main questline. When it launches, Fallout 76 will also become available on Steam.
The new questline has you uncovering the secrets of West Virginia. Besides the new questline, the original one is being updated with new locations and missions. The Wastelanders DLC is bringing something new to veterans and new players.
The biggest change is the addition of NPCs, which is something that the original pitch for Fallout 76 said won’t be a thing. Bethesda thankfully realized that fans wanted a Fallout game that they can play with friends, so besides the NPCs, branching dialog is being added, and a reputation system. So, in classic Fallout fashion, you can choose to make friends or be a crazed maniac. With the human NPCs you’ll also see some new creatures roaming Appalachia.
With how it started, Fallout 76 is slowly starting to take shape and turn into what fans really wanted.
