There were a lot of amazing Nintendo Switch titles in 2018, with Pokemon Let's Go probably taking the title as the most anticipated game of the year. Of course, there were a lot of other impressive arrivals, including a lot of indie games. However, now it’s time to look ahead and see what the future brings.
We hoped that 2019. will be a great year for Nintendo Switch, which means that it would be a great year for us, as well. Guess what? Our dreams have come true. There are going to be a lot of promising titles in 2019.
Now, since GameBuz is, among other things, a Nintendo Switch news site, we like to keep up with the latest trends. As passionate gamers, we like to share our findings with other gamers and inform them what they should be excited about in the year before us. There will be a huge number of new games, but not all of them can fit the list. Here are the best of the best.
Oh yes, this is happening! Animal Crossing is coming out this year and it’s going to be amazing. A beautiful world, packed in such a cool game and interesting environment, promises to keep you entertained for hours. We can’t wait to see what Nintendo will do with this one, but we can sure hope it’s going to be awesome.
It’s been six long years since the last entry in the core series. We’ve been waiting too long for this and now we are really stoked. What we can surely expect is a lot of new amusing characters, a lot of new fun and exciting things to do, and probably a more beautiful game than ever.
With each and every entry of the Animal Crossing series, Nintendo has managed to improve the games on every level, not least of which is the visual appeal. We can expect the same improvement in the new installment and we hope that we won’t be let down.
Bayonetta 3 is one of those must-have Nintendo Switch games for 2019. If you like hacking and slashing anything that comes near you, then this game is not to be missed. The third entry in the series, Bayonetta will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive. There isn't much that we know so far, except for the teaser trailer and that it’s currently in development.
We know that the game will follow the same badass Umbran Witch from the previous titles, as she fights enemies in an action-packed game that will probably blow our minds. It is yet to be announced whether the game will be a sequel or a prequel and whether there will be other playable characters.
There is a bit of everything for everyone on this list, so here is something for sports fans. Trials Rising is coming out in February and it's a promising addition to the franchise. For those of you who don't know, Trials lets players take control of a motorcycle rider as he jumps across obstacles.
The game has always amazed us with beautiful graphics and more than amazing physics. It’s a fun and exciting game, that can be played by anyone, but to truly feel it, you have to build up some serious skill. We can expect new courses and various obstacles to stand in our way in Trials Rising.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses
A traditional turn-based RPG game, Fire Emblem has made a name for itself as one of the most popular Nintendo Switch titles in recent years. The previous installments, Awakening and Fates, cemented the franchise's title as one of the best around, and we can sure hope that Three Houses deliver the same experience… only a bit better if it's not too much to ask for.
There is some news about the game, other than the trailer we were presented with during 2018. We know the fighting style will be similar, with minor adjustments (hopefully improvements), we know that the fellowship will include three main characters – Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude, alongside Byleth, who will be controlled by you, and we know that the game will be set in a new world called Fódlan.
There are many rumors surrounding all these games, but the most important thing is that we do know some things for certain. The most certain thing is that we are going to play the hell out of each and every game on this list and we suggest that you do the same. Hopefully, our expectations will come true for all of them.
