Epic Games revealed yesterday that it now requires two-factor authentication if you want to claim free games on the Epic Games Store. This is only temporary, and this request will be made until May 21.
“Beginning today and ending on May 21, we will periodically require two-factor authentication prior to claiming free games on the Epic Games Store. We are making this change in an effort to encourage our players to take steps to strengthen their Epic account security,” it was said in a post yesterday.
If a user doesn’t have two-factor authentication enabled on their account, they will be asked to enable it.
