The Witcher 3 Coming to the Nintendo Switch, Maybe, Somehow

There was a series of rumors and leaks suggesting that The Witcher 3 will come to the Switch, it sounds impossible, but with how many there are, who knows.

For the most part, we decided to ignore all of these leaks that The Witcher 3 will come to a handheld console due to how ridiculous it sounds, but at this point, we have to at least mention all of that.

Spotted by a ResetEra user, storefronts all over Asia have The Witcher 3 listed with the Switch logo right there. Even though it runs Skyrim (what doesn’t at this point) and Doom (also, what doesn’t run it), it’s still hard to imagine The Witcher 3 running on it.

Cloud gaming comes to mind at this point, the Switch does stream Resident Evil and Assassin’s Creed in Japan. Maybe that’s also the plan for The Witcher, but again, you can only stream games in Japan, so why would it be offered in China.

Taking away even more credibility from it, CD Projekt Red never even hinted at The Witcher 3 coming to Nintendo Switch. Considering how much work went into it, would they even be okay with the game being downgraded and taking away from the original experience?

If CD Projekt is going to announce it, they will probably do it at E3. Until then, GameSpot managed to get their hands on the pre-alpha test footage of the game running on the Switch. Enjoy The Witcher 3 running on a handheld console.
