The Last of Us Part 2 was supposed to be released on May 29, but it got delayed for the second time some time ago. Now, Sony has announced the exact date when the game will be launched and that is June 19.
Also, Sony has revealed that the release date for Ghost of Tsushima was moved, and it will arrive on July 17 instead of on June 26.
The announcement was made in a post on the PlayStation Blog.
“As we begin to see an ease in the global distribution environment, I am pleased to confirm that The Last of Us Part II will arrive on June 19. And Ghost of Tsushima will follow on July 17,” Hermen Hulst, Sony’s Head of Worldwide Studios, says in the post.
“I want to personally congratulate and thank both the teams at Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch Productions on their achievements, as we know it’s not an easy feat to reach the finish line under these circumstances.”
In addition, Sucker Punch Productions shared on Twitter that the team will be using the extra couple of weeks to apply a few finishing touches and solve some bugs.
When it comes to the Last of Us Part 2, the news of the release date is certainly overshadowed by the major leak that has happened recently.
