Steam Sets a New Concurrent Player Count Record

Steam has broken its own record for most concurrently online users by reaching user count of 18.8 million, more precisely 18,801,944. Its previous record was 18.5 million and it was set about 2 years ago.

This information was shared yesterday by SteamDB on Twitter.

However, this record is not followed by a record number of players in-game. This number is actually lower than 2 years ago; there are 5.8 million players in-game now while there were 7 million back then.

Still, this concurrent player count record represents a nice milestone for Steam.
