Valve has made Steam’s search function a lot better with the addition of a few new features. It has experimented with those features through its Steam Labs program, and they are now live, as announced in a Steam post.
Users can now filter their results by price and/or special offers. They are also able to narrow their search by tags. Then, users can choose to hide games that they already have in their library, have wishlisted or ignored. In addition, they can narrow their search by VR support, therefore they can choose to not see VR-only games.
Also, infinite scroll is added, so as users scroll, more results will automatically load; those who prefer ‘click to load’ system, can change it in the preferences. Finally, if a user is using Search in a language other than English, then that language will be shown first in the language filter control.
These features should definitely improve how users search for games on Steam.
