The creative director of Splinter Cell: Conviction, and Blacklist, Maxime Beland, has returned to Ubisoft as the Paris editorial team is being revamped.
The Paris editorial team, the team that influences all the big Ubisoft games is being revamped, and Beland is joining it.
Beland was both a creative and game design director in his long career at Ubisoft. He worked on Rainbow Six: Vegas, Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry 4, Primal and 5, and of course the Splinter Cell series.
In 2019 he joined Epic Games, and now he is back at Ubisoft. It will be interesting to see what he will bring to the editorial team and how it will reflect on future games.
His return doesn’t mean we’ll see a new Splinter Cell game, especially since two huge games are currently being developed, Rainbow Six and Watchdogs. On the other hand, Ubisoft does have Splinter Cell somewhere in the back of their mind.
