SingStar Servers Will Be Shutting down on January 31

Sony announced that they will be shutting down the servers for SingStar on January 31, 2020, but you can keep what you already have in offline mode.

All online functionality, including song purchases, for SingStar will be disabled at the start of next year. The server shutdown will affect all PlayStation platforms, but offline features will stay available, including all already purchased content.

If you are on PS4, you will be able to re-download any content you previously deleted, but if you’re on PS3 anything you don’t have downloaded by January 31, will become unavailable.

Sony continues by explaining that everything on physical discs will still be available, and that Party Mode, offline high-scores and creating playlists will stay available.

The announcement is accompanied by a post that reads, “We’ve loved watching the community grow, and have lots of fond memories from working on SingStar. Your support over the years has meant the world.

Enjoy the last few months of SingStar’s online features while you can.
