Rockstar Is Gifting Items and Money in GTA Online and Red Dead Online

As announced by Take-Two, GTA 5 is the best-selling game of the decade, and Red Dead Redemption 2 takes a respectable seventh place.

"Together, both award-winning titles have attained incredible benchmarks for Rockstar Games,” Take-Two said in a statement, ”With collective lifetime sell-in of Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 now totaling more than 150 million units worldwide."

Take-Two decided they want to celebrate this by giving away some items and money to GTA and Red Dead players.

In case you’re playing GTA Online, by playing between January 30 and February 5, you will receive $1 million, then another $1 million if you play between February 5 and February 12.

Over at Red Dead Online, there’s no money waiting for players, but a Gunslinger’s Cache has your name on it if you play between January 28 and February 3. The Gunslinger’s Cache contains a free Schofield Revolver, a free Varmint Rifle, and the Devastating Ammo Bundle which includes

• 100x Split Point Revolver Ammo,
• 100x High-Velocity Pistol Ammo,
• 100x Express Repeater Ammo,
• 100x Slug Shotgun Ammo,
• 20x Explosive Rifle Ammo.

Then if you play from February 4 to February 10, you will get a The Bounty Hunter’s Kit, which has:

• A Free Bounty Hunter license,
• 25x Bolas,
• 25x Tracking Arrows.

"After breaking records for daily, weekly and monthly average players in July and August consecutively following the release of The Diamond Casino & Resort, the December launch of The Diamond Casino Heist broke even those records, bringing players back in bigger numbers than ever before over the holiday period.” the statement continues, “The back-to-back release of these two colossal updates—the biggest GTA Online has ever seen—also made December 2019 our largest month ever in terms of player numbers."

They have more plans for both games. GTA Online will receive an open wheel racing series with tight cornering and where tire choices matter. Obviously, some new vehicles are coming with it too.

Red Dead Online will also grow, mainly in the Frontier Pursuits field where more roles will be added, new missions, and many more updates.
