Riot Games has revealed that its new free-to-play first-person shooter called Valorant will be launched in Summer this year.

It is a 5v5 competitive character-based shooter that puts emphasis on good tactical choices and creativity. Riot has released a video showing alpha gameplay footage that was made during an internal developer playtest.

On the official website, the game is described in the following way:

Imagine this: tactical shooter meets hypernatural powers. Everyone’s got guns and a unique set of abilities, so how do you beat someone with the speed of wind? Use your own moves to outplay them and beat them to the shot. VALORANT is a game for bold strategists who dare to make the unexpected play, because if it wins, it works.”

It sounds interesting, and Summer is not so far.
