Due to last years allegations of Riot Games having a toxic and sexist workplace environment, Riot has hired Angela Roseboro as its first Chief Diversity Officer to help address those issues. Angela Roseboro has previously worked at Dropbox as the global head of diversity, equity and inclusion, her new task is to make Riot Games a more inclusive space.
In the announcement on the official website, Roseboro said, "I can't wait to get started and to do my part to make sure we have a culture that embraces the uniqueness of every Rioter and a community where everyone feels a sense of belonging."
Last year Riot Games has acknowledged the allegations and issued a formal apology, “Our First Steps Forward”. In the apology, they stated that they will rebuild Riot from the ground up to make it a more inclusive space for everyone to feel comfortable in.
