The biggest game of 2018 is undoubtedly Red Dead Redemption 2. Whether you like it or not, and there are slim chances that you don't, the Red Dead franchise came back with a bang. It was one of the most anticipated games of the year and it didn't fail to deliver.

Probably the best thing about all this is the fact that, because of RDR 2, many other games were delayed in order to make way for this giant and not get squashed by its relentless release.

Here at GameBuz, we try to keep up with all the console gaming news, but gaming is not a business – it's a passion. Gaming is a huge part of our lives and we believe that it means as much to you.

That's why we did in-depth research and analysis and now, we’ll present you the very best. Keep in mind that a lot of other great titles will come out during the year, but these are our top picks. This is what we will be playing after all.

Guilty Gear

Guilty Gear has to be one of the most original fighting games ever. The game has been praised for everything, from graphics to the soundtrack, but probably the most interesting part about the game is the characters. The sick doctor Baldhead, better known as Faust, the bounty hunter Sol Badguy, the girl that fights with her hair Millia Rage, and many, many more.

Nobody knows much about the release of the new Guilty Gear game. All we know is that it’s right around the corner. Actually, we know only what Arc System Works CEO Minoru Kidooka told us at the EVO 2018. He said that Guilty Gear director Daisuke Ishiwatari couldn’t come to the EVO because he is working on a new Guilty Gear title. He asked us to be patient and wait a little longer, and wait we shall. It’s all we can do for now.

BioWare is known for many well-known titles, such as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect, and Dragon Age. Now, they are working on something that promises a real spectacle and an endless source of entertainment. Their newest title is called Anthem.

Much like their big hit Destiny, the game focuses on the multiplayer aspect and gives the ability to cooperate with three other players in your quests. The biggest trouble will be distancing Anthem from Destiny and giving it a new and unique feel, which we are sure BioWare is more than capable of.

Devil May Cry 5

What can you expect from the guys that have provided us with endless hours of video gaming entertainment in the form of Street Fighter, Resident Evil and...well, all the previous DMC games? Of course, you can expect nothing less. Now, Capcom is releasing a new DMC, the fifth installment of the franchise.

What can we hope for? Well, we can hope to kill many demons, spill a lot of demonic blood and enjoy ourselves while we're at it. Dante and Nero are said to come back as playable characters, alongside another character simply called "V". The game is set to be released in March and we are very eager to try it out.

Metro Exodus

Set in post-apocalyptic Russia, the game was based on the novels of the same name and has turned into a real franchise. Metro depicts a wasteland filled with reminders of nuclear atrocities – the desolate cities, the mutated monster, and unpredictable weather are just a start.

Once you really get sucked into the game, you see just how difficult survival would be in those conditions. For the first time, the game developers decided that the game is no longer going to be set exclusively in the dark tunnels beneath Mother Russia. Yes, the game will lead its protagonists into the open world but celebrate with caution. Who knows what evil lurks out there.

The Last of Us 2

One of the best console games of all time, The Last of Us is a PlayStation exclusive. Announced back in 2016, The Last of Us 2 has the potential to be 2019's RDR 2. A true nightmare in a form of video game, The Last of Us was one of the best video games of its genre. Playing that was a real roller coaster of emotions, embellished with beautiful visuals and a fantastic story. For those who haven't played it, be sure to do so before the sequel comes out.

So what can The Last of Us 2 offer? Well, it is said that the story will take place five years after the first part and the player will take control of a slightly older Ellie. All we can say is that we can't wait for it and that we can really hope to be amazed by this, long-awaited, sequel to The Last of Us.
