Rockstar Games has released a new component for Red Dead Redemption 2 called Red Dead Online, and the fans are not particularly happy. This update was promised to fix many issues players have experienced with Red Dead Redemption 2, but it only brought more problems, according to players.

The update, when announced, said it will feature Free Roam Events, Showdown Modes, new Races, weapons, clothing, and emotes. Since then, players didn’t have anything nice to say, complaining about grinding, nerfed hunting abilities, and ridiculous microtransactions, mainly on the game’s official Reddit page.

The list of complaints goes on to the emotes that cost up to $100 to buy, daily challenges involving a weapon that hasn’t even been released yet, and hunting. Griefing is also one of the problems, some daily challenges encourage players to headshot other players, and they can easily escape someone’s radar, but if you try and take out a griefer, your dot will mark you as if you were actually the griefer.

The cost of new items in the marketplace has been a complaint even in Rockstar’s GTA Online. Some players went as far as comparing Red Dead Online to Fallout 76, and that is surely not a good thing.
