Blizzard Entertainment and GOG.COM have teamed up to re-release select classic Blizzard games. They are beginning with the 1996 Diablo that began the franchise.
For the first time, Diablo is available via digital distribution and you can pick it up on GOG.com right now for $9.99. It comes with a set of bug fixes and updates, and players can choose from the launcher if they wish to play the original or updated version.
"We were bummed that these iconic games weren’t available to our players, so we‘re very happy to work with the crew at GOG.COM to rectify that,” -Rob Bridenbecker, Vice President and Executive Producer of Blizzard Entertainment.
The original Warcraft and Warcraft II are also planned for a re-release, more information on them will be available soon.
