This year Nordicgame will focus on business, emotion and knowledge. Speakers, exhibitors and attendees will also experience what it means to evolve as an industry, by focusing on the core aspects of games development and learning more about being better at working together. Nordicgame 2020 will take place from May 27th to 29th in Malmö, Sweden.
Nordicgame is debuting a speaker program dedicated to artificial intelligence this year. Curated and hosted by modl.ai, a Copenhagen-based developer building next-generation AI-driven game technology, the program will be focussed on game design.
Christoffer Holmgård, CEO and co-founder of modl.ai and Alessandro Canossa, Senior User Researcher at Ubisoft Massive and Associate Professor at KADK will delve deep into NPCs and the integration of player insights.
CAPY’s Creative Director Kris Piotrowski has also been announced as a speaker this year. He will talk about the puzzle-game-evolution and art direction of the studio, using the example of their latest game Grindstone.
Amy Dallas, CEO and Co-founder of ClutchPlay Games was announced as a speaker as well. In her session she will discuss Gretchen Rubin’s “Four Tendencies” framework and what it means to apply it in team leadership.
Furthermore, this Nordicgame will host a talk by Jan Klose, Managing Director at Deck 13. He will elaborate on the process of creating The Surge 2.
