Most people dislike spoilers and as it seems, EA doesn’t like them either. EA Access subscribers will not receive Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order early.
EA Access offers a lot, the three biggest things being access to the Vault, Early Access and a Timed Trial to newest releases, but EA has decided to cut that out for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
The official account for EA Access on Twitter confirmed that the new Star Wars game will not be playable early “in part to reduce the risk of spoilers”. Instead, EA Access subscribers receive a 10% discount on the game and two exclusive skins for Cal Kestis' ship and his droid companion BD-1.
It is a bit disappointing and unusual that they made this decision so close to the game’s release. The specific wording is also a bit off-putting, “in part”. The fact that they decided to not allow anyone to play it early and that there are no pre-release reviews raises an eyebrow, but that might just be because it’s EA and their track record isn’t the best.
Be it as it may, there already are some spoilers online, most of it based on data mining. So if you don’t want any spoilers, stay as far away from the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order subreddit.
