CD Projekt Red confirmed a week ago that Cyberpunk 2077 will be at this year’s E3, which left fans hoping that the game will be published soon after that. It appears that might not be the case according to the new PlayStation video featuring CD Projekt Red’s team.
Cyberpunk was announced back in 2012, then a teaser trailer was revealed in 2013. Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting for any details about the game, until 48-minute gameplay was revealed publicly after 2018’s E3.
In PlayStation’s video, some of the developers cover certain topics about their years-long silence and the decisions they had to make about the game. It is also mentioned in the video that Cyberpunk 2077 is set 50 years after the source material and that it takes place in a parallel timeline.
All the hype that has been circling this game for years hasn’t died out. After the gameplay reveal everyone hoped the waiting will end, if not right after this year’s E3 then at least by the end of the year. That will most definitely not be the case according to the video. The fans have been warned at the end of the video not to hold their breaths just yet since the game is coming - when it’s ready.
