It’s been a rough time for Naughty Dog and Sony when it comes to The Last of Us 2 since there was a huge leak that revealed almost everything. However, some nice news is here as well. Neil Druckmann revealed that the game has gone gold, and is ready for shipment; there will be no delays.
The announcement was made in a video on Naughty Dog’s official YouTube account.
“Normally this would be a moment of celebration, we'd be at the office having a drink, eating cake," Druckmann said after announcing that the game has gone gold.
"But we're all stuck in our homes. And I just wanted to take a moment to congratulate the team that has pulled off the most ambitious game we've ever made.”
He also referred indirectly to the leak by saying:
"No matter what you've seen or heard or read, nothing compares to playing this thing from beginning to end. It's a video game. You've gotta play it."
So, this means that The Last of Us Part 2 is going to be launched on June 19 for sure.
