Infinity Ward and Activision decided to donate all profit from Modern Warfare's Outback Pack to help with the Australian wildfire crisis.
The donations include absolutely all sales on all platforms until the end of January, including the ones before the announcement.
It might be a coincidence, but this was suggested by gamers on Reddit (as spotted by dotesports). Whether Activision and IW already had this planned or they made the choice after people started asking for it, it doesn’t really matter, it’s a nice and appreciated move on their side.
It's stated in the announcement: "As part of our efforts to help provide relief toward the devastating bushfires in Australia, we're donating 100% of Activision's net proceeds from each purchase of the 'Outback' pack, which we've renamed The OutBack Relief Pack, across all platforms through January 31st. If you've already purchased the pack, thank you. Your purchase will count toward donation.”
So far, the bushfires have spread through 25 million acres and are thought to have led to the death of over a billion Australian animals.
If you can, why not get the new pack and in doing so donate to the relief efforts. In case you don't own Modern Warfare yet, why not check out the review too?
