Another event has been delayed because of coronavirus. After GDC 2020, Minecraft Festival organizers have also decided to postpone the event.
Minecraft Festival was supposed to happen in September, but now it will happen next year. September is still far away, but the current situation is an obstacle for the organizers to prepare the event as they want to. Mojang shared the decision in a post on the official website.
“September is still many months away, and we are not making any predictions about how long it will take to put the outbreak behind us. This decision is rather a result of the extensive preparations required to organize a mammoth event like this,” reads the post.
“Our partners, producers, and exhibitors are based in all corners of the world, and right now we can’t meet and collaborate in the way we need to. Without knowing exactly when we can resume planning, we have decided to postpone.”
However, Minecraft Live is still going to happen, so Minecraft fans have something to look forward to still.
