Marvelous Europe to Bring New and Revitalised Franchises

Marvelous Europe announced today a diverse line-up of titles that will be published in Europe and Australia for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 within the next year.

The release line-up includes remastered fan-favourite Rune Factory 4 Special, enhanced indie insanity with Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition, a reimagined retro classic in the form of BurgerTime Party!, and new franchises Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin, Heroland and Granblue Fantasy: Versus.

In addition to this expansive line-up of titles Marvelous Europe are also excited to confirm that Granblue Fantasy: Versus will be playable at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, which is open to the public between the 20th and 24th August 2019, on the PlayStation booth in Hall 7. In addition to the current roster, the newly announced character, Percival, will be playable in this demo.

Granblue Fantasy: Versus

In Granblue Fantasy: Versus, power, skill, and spirit collide in a quest to find the true champion of the ring, with multiple characters from the Granblue Fantasy universe making an appearance.

Starting with Gran, the protagonist of Granblue Fantasy, who travels the skies with his winged companion Vyrn and a mysterious girl, Lyria, who saved his life. Other characters include Katalina, an ex-imperial knight sworn to protect those she holds dear; Charlotta, the virtuous captain of the Lumiel Order of Holy Knights; Lancelot, a dual-wielding master swordsman; and lastly, Ferry, a ghost with a whip and spectral pets.

Rune Factory 4 Special

The joys of growing crops, catching fish, and raising monsters await players old and new, while seasoned explorers will be delighted to discover an updated opening movie. Other farm-fresh features include Newlywed mode, which introduces special episodes about living the married life and new in-game cutscenes.

Additionally, an even higher difficulty mode for expert players to take on a challenge that’s truly worthy of their skills.

Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin

A title from Edelweiss, the two-man team behind acclaimed indie darling Astebreed, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin combines side-scrolling action with deep crafting and farming simulation.

Players take on the role of Sakuna, a spoiled harvest goddess banished to a dangerous island with a group of outcast humans. As she explores the beautiful, forbidding environments of the island, she will also find a home in a mountain village, proving herself worthy of her title by harvesting rice and bettering the lives of humans.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition

Travis Touchdown wanders into the game world and embarks on a rampage of epic proportions. Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition features previously released DLC and improved HD visuals for the PlayStation 4 and Windows PC. Beam Katana in hand, slice and dice through a variety of game worlds, then square up to the boss at the end of each game.

BurgerTime Party!

Chef Peter Pepper and the Food Foes return to serve up a fresh look and tons of new gameplay in the reimagining of DATA EAST’s 1982 arcade classic.

BurgerTime Party! features new modes and items will have modern chefs thinking ‘outside of the bun’ to solve bite-sized puzzles like crumbling floors, oil spills, and freezing ladders, all the while evading edible enemies both old and new.

Heroland

Put on your nostalgia goggles for this single-player RPG about a theme park where guests can explore dungeons, beat up baddies, and become legendary heroes—while the player assists from the sidelines as a tour guide.

Released in Japan as WORK x WORK, this tale of princes and pixels is told by a bunch of quirky characters, including overzealous knights, an irascible otter, and man-eating broccoli. When the Dark Lord’s monsters are also your coworkers, it’s hard to draw the line between work and play.
