IO Interactive is Already Working on the Next Hitman Game

This November, Hitman 2 is celebrating the one-year anniversary with November Roadmap and a lot of free live content.

Now, IO Interactive has revealed in a blog post that, on November 19, an update that will bring more improvements and fixes to Hitman 2 is going to be released. The team expects the November Update to bring the final major patch and set of Release Notes for Hitman 2. They are looking forward to the future and what’s next for the franchise.

After 13 months of full-time support and content for HITMAN 2 – at no additional cost (besides what we added through the Expansion Pass), we’re now at a place where we are looking increasingly to the future. In real terms, we’re moving more and more of the HITMAN 2 team to join the next Hitman game, which is well underway,” says IO Interactive.

This means that they have already started developing the next Hitman game.

In December, there will be more new content, including Escalations and Elusive Target, as well as the return of some Seasonal content. The plans for 2020 also include bringing new live content to Hitman 2 such as Featured Contracts, Community-curated Contracts, and they are also planning a re-activation of Hitman 2 Elusive Targets.

There are no more details about when Hitman 3 will be released but it’s sure good news for the fans of this game that there will be a third game in the franchise.
