Google Stadia free version is now available, and anyone who signs up will also get 2 free months for Stadia Pro to try it out.
In a post on the official blog, Phil Harrison, Vice President and GM of Stadia, says that since we’re all facing difficult times due to the coronavirus pandemic, they’ve decided to give gamers from 14 countries free access to Stadia Pro for 2 months.
“Anyone who signs up will get two free months of Stadia Pro with instant access to nine games, including GRID, Destiny 2: The Collection, and Thumper. You can purchase even more games on the store, which will remain yours to play even if you cancel your Stadia Pro subscription. If you’re already a paid Stadia Pro subscriber, we won’t charge you for the next two months,” reads the post.
Also, it is said that there is increased demand because many people are now at home, so they’re taking a responsible approach to internet traffic. They’ve adjusted bandwidth use based on a variety of in-home and local internet factors, and they’re working on a temporary feature that changes the default screen resolution from 4k to 1080p.
