Google has been criticized recently because it hasn’t revealed or announced anything about Stadia and games for it in a while.
Now, Google has responded to this criticism. Its spokesperson told GamesIndustry.biz that there have been weekly updates on the Stadia Community forum and monthly recaps on the Google Keyword blog.
Also, they talked about the games, precisely the 120 titles that are expected to come to Stadia this year.
"We understand the desire to hear more specifics on the games," they said to GamesIndustry.biz. "After all, that is what it is about: the games. Of course, not all 120 titles will be announced by the Stadia team, as we leave it up to the publishers to make the announcement about their IP/games, and which platforms it will appear on -- just as we will do with the exclusive content coming to Stadia."
They explained that there are many things to take into consideration when deciding when to make the announcements - planned promotions, events, title readiness, shareholder requirements, etc. It’s also said that there will be some news about the exclusive games for Stadia soon.
We’ll just have to wait and see how soon that is.
