God of War's DLC Was Too Ambitious According to Cory Balrog

Cory Balrog, the director of a popular game God of War, that won the trophy for the Game of the Year award at the 2018 Game Awards, explained in the interview with KindaFunny that a DLC story will not be released because it was "too ambitious". The idea was big enough to become "its own thing", as a proper standalone expansion, like Sony did with The Last of Us expansion Left Behind and Uncharted 4 expansion Lost Legacy.

"I had a really fun idea for a DLC, but it was too ambitious... It would end up like being its own thing and everybody said this isn't DLC, this is too big, but I still feel good about the idea that what we released is everything."

Balrog explained that he had to choose between fixing bugs and DLC, so he made a decision to do a stable game right away.

"I would love to make all that stuff, but the battle between "here's all the bugs you need to fix" and "here's what we need to do here" - it is stable game always. Even thou, we can get all the patches, it's - the more stable game we can get immediately, the better."
