Ubisoft made the decision to delay the launch of the Engineer Class and immersive mode so that they can make sure its bug free and a good experience.
Ghost Recon Breakpoint had an incredibly disappointing launch, so bad that Ubisoft took a financial hit and made significant changes. In an effort to get things back on track, Ubisoft promised new content and a more immersive mode for Breakpoint.
There isn’t a lot of info concerning this new immersive mode, the only thing we know is that it’s supposed to give you more freedom in how you play. It was supposed to launch in February together with the new Engineer Class, but neither of them are here yet.
Ubisoft confirmed that they have decided to postpone it so that they can further polish it. Which is completely understandable, it's something they have already done in the past, if Ubisoft promises to fix a broken game and then they release a broken update, people will be mad.
"Our objective with the new immersive mode is to provide an impactful update to the game using your feedback as the foundation", Ubisoft wrote, "the complexity of integrating this new mode has proven to be a challenge and we want to ensure that the experience will be a great one when it releases."
There is no exact new release date yet, just that we can expect it this spring. More info will be available on March 5.
