The first PUBG Global Series event of 2020 has been postponed by PUBG Corp due to fears over the spread of the coronavirus.
PUBG Corp has four large esports events planned for this year, but the first one planned for April, PGS Berlin, will be rescheduled. The qualifiers might also be moved for a later date, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet.
The World Health Organisation declared the new coronavirus a "global health emergency". PGS Berlin also isn’t the only event that was postponed due to the virus. Blizzard straight up canceled Overwatch League matches in China, League of Legends matches are postponed, and CS:GO and Dota 2 events are canceled.
Currently, there are conflicting global numbers on the new coronavirus, but 14 cases were confirmed in Germany.
