The Founder’s Edition of Google Stadia is officially sold out in all launch countries, and the Premiere Edition took its place on the official Stadia website.
The announcement on the official Twitter page reads, “That’s a wrap! Stadia Founder’s Edition has completely sold out. We can’t wait to welcome all of our Founders to play Stadia on November 19.”
Even though the Founder’s Edition is sold out, it is being replaced by the Premiere Edition, The Premiere Edition of Stadia comes with a white controller, a Chromecast Ultra, three months of Stadia Pro and Destiny 2: The Collection.
It’s great to hear that there is a lot of interest in Google Stadia, but there is one thing that should be kept in mind, since no actual numbers were given. Two years ago, Microsoft also boasted about the Xbox One X “record-setting sell-out times”, then when Sony started releasing sales numbers for the PS4 it was made clear that the sell-out time had more to do with the smaller number of consoles supplied and the very specific wording used in the statement.
But, that might not be the case, maybe there really is more hype for Stadia than it seems. The launch date is just around the corner, then we can really talk about Stadia.
