As of yesterday, PlayStation 4 users can no longer share their gameplay videos, screenshots and other game activities through Facebook.
Sony didn’t offer an explanation as to why the integration with Facebook is being removed. Although, Facebook did say last year that they will be restricting how third-parties will be able to use user data. They specifically named Microsoft and Sony as being able to access data, which they normally shouldn’t, through a bug.
What this means for PlayStation users is that they will not be able to import profile pictures and friends, and they won’t be able to share broadcasts, gameplay, trophies or screenshots to Facebook anymore.
There is also a new system update coming to the PS4 this week, you can read more about it here.
