Dell and Alienware had a very strong presence at this years CES with a budget friendly gaming laptop, an amazing monitor and some very cool concepts.
The monitor in question is none other than the Alienware 25 Gaming Monitor, a monitor built based on the feedback from the community as well as esports players. One of the most striking features are the 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time.
Besides the monitor, Alienware also announced a mobile app, Alienware Second Screen, that will let you monitor your PC performance in real time while playing.
Heading over to the budget friendly gaming laptop is the Dell G5 15 SE. The laptop features a 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen 4000 H-Series Mobile Processor (8-cores, 16-threads), paired with the AMD Radeon RX 5600M GPU. The combination of these chips allows the system to automatically optimize performance for the task currently being handled by shifting power between the Ryzen processor and Radeon GPU as needed.
Moving away from what you can get your hands on, it’s time for some crazy and fun looking concepts.
First up is the UFO, imagine a Nintendo Switch, but it’s actually a PC. The UFO features an 8” screen with 1900×1200 resolution and includes detachable controllers.
The Duet is the next concept they showed off. The Duet is a dual screen device with two 13.4-inch displays that adapt to whatever you are doing. It also features a pen for the touch-enabled second screen.
Finally, it’s the Ori. The best way to describe it is a foldable tablet. It has a seamless 13” screen you can fold in half to make it more portable.
No word on when we can expect this cool concepts to come to life, but they do look very interesting.
