In the Valley of Gods is a single-player first-person adventure game being developed by Campo Santo, the dev team behind Firewatch.
However, since quite a few of Campo Santo’s developers are working on other Valve projects such as Half-Life: Alyx and Dota Underlords, it seems that this game will have to wait.
The co-founder of Campo Santo, Jake Rodkin has told Polygon that In the Valley of Gods is put on hold. He said that the developers are busy working on other Valve projects. Still, though they won’t be working on In the Valley of Gods right now, there is a possibility that they’ll return to it at some point in the future.
“In the Valley of Gods' development is on hold—but it certainly feels like a project people can and may return to. And when that happens, we’ll find an exciting way to let fans know,” said Jake Rodkin in the statement.
Campo Santo was acquired by Valve in April 2018.
