A previously rumored DLC for Borderlands 2 seems to have been confirmed by a now-removed listing for Commander Lilith & The Fight for Sanctuary on Steam.
Borderlands 2: Commander Lilith & The Fight for Sanctuary was briefly listed on Steam with a release date set for June 9, confirming the claims that one last DLC will be released to connect the stories of Borderlands 2 and the soon to be released Borderlands 3.
The product description reads (via ResetEra):
“Return to the award winning shooter-looter for a new adventure that sets the stage for the upcoming Borderlands 3. Sanctuary is under siege, the Vault's map has been stolen and a toxic gas is poisoning Pandora. Fight new bosses, explore new zones, get new loot (including an entirely new tier beyond Legendary) and join up with Lilith and the Crimson Raiders to take on a deranged villain hell-bent on ruling the planet
Returning players can pursue an increased level cap of 80, while newcomers can automatically boost to level 30 and dive straight into the action.”
We’re only a few days away from E3 and knowing all of the details for sure, but Commander Lilith & The Fight for Sanctuary will probably be free and will not be available for previous gen consoles nor Borderlands 2 VR.
