We’re a few hours away from the gameplay reveal stream for Baldur’s Gate 3, but as it usually goes, a few screenshots leaked already.
The screens reveal the things we could have already guessed, Baldur’s Gate 3 is an RPG with a top-down view during gameplay and a cinematic view for conversations, things you would expect from Larian Studios. The rest will be made clear during the livestream.
According to a ResetEra user, the photos were originally posted on a French gaming website, but they were quick to take them down. Fortunately, the user saved them on Imgur for all of our viewing pleasure.
Something that is left to debate (for a few more hours at least) is if Baldur’s Gate 3 is real-time with pausing like the first two games or turn-based. Obviously it’s hard to tell from images, but you can see a banner at the top of the screen that says “turn-based”. So, either Baldur’s Gate 3 is only turn-based, or you can choose between the two modes.
This is only a few of the screenshots that were leaked, you can check out the rest on Imgur.
Baldur's Gate 3 is also expected to launch in Early Access on Steam during the year.
