The first season of Apex Legends is nearly upon us, and players are eagerly awaiting the launch of it and the Battle Pass, which will bring new content to the game.

Respawn Entertainment has yet to announce the official launch date for the first season of Apex Legends, but the roadmap released by the developers did show that Season One will kick off in March. There were some rumors and speculation, and many players believed they would see it release on Tuesday, March 12th.

Sadly, that wasn’t the case. March 12th came and went without any trace of Season One or the Battle Pass anywhere in sight. However, on March 17th, Respawn's very own Vince Zampella confirmed in a Twitter post that they have an estimated release date for Season One, but he didn’t reveal the exact date.

In other news, many leaks have been posted all over the internet regarding new legends that might release during Season One. The first among those leaks was a legend called Octane and data miners have even uncovered his abilities. There was no word on when this Legend will see the light of day, but we speculate that it will be very soon.

Namely, while playing Apex Legends over the weekend, I got launched into the air randomly while running. At first, I thought it might be a glitch or something but then realized that there was a launch pad on the ground. This borderline confirms that Octane will be released very soon since the jump pad is one of his abilities.

While excitement surrounds Octane and other new Legends, current Legends are also set to receive a few changes when Season One kicks off. Respawn noted that some Legends will receive significant changes to their hitboxes (specifically Caustic, Pathfinder and Gibraltar).
