Hi everybody and welcome back to our weekly Apex Legends guide. So far we’ve covered Wraith, Octane, Pathfinder, and Mirage so go ahead and check those out if you haven’t already. But anyway, this week we’re taking a look at the smoke bomb shooting, rocket dropping, professional soldier, Bangalore.

As with every guide, I’ll be going over all of her abilities, how they work, and then we’ll move on to how you can actually use said abilities in combat. So, let’s go ahead and take a closer look at Bangalore’s kit, shall we?

Passive - Double Time

If Bangalore gets shot at while sprinting, she will receive a movement speed boost of 30%. In fights, this ability will trigger a lot. Also, you don’t really have to take damage for the passive to trigger. You’ll get a movement speed boost even if the shots land near you. It can also trigger near another Bangalore’s ultimate or a Gibraltar ultimate.

Tactical - Smoke Launcher

Bangalore shoots out a smoke bomb that splits into three on impact and creates a wall of smoke. The launcher has quite a bit of range so you can chuck this thing pretty far. You can’t see through or into the smoke, but if you’re surrounded by it, you’ll be able to see a few feet in front of you. The ability has two charges and the cooldown is 33 seconds.

Ultimate - Rolling Thunder

Bangalore throws a flare which marks an area for an artillery strike. It drops a bunch of missiles that detonate after 8 seconds. The explosion will damage and stun your enemies for a little while. The missiles will also stun your teammates but will not deal any damage to them. The flare works just like a grenade and the charge time is 270 seconds.

How Do I Play Bangalore?

Bangalore is pretty versatile and her kit can be used both defensively and offensively. There’s not much to say about her passive, you just go fast when being shot at. You can reposition faster, run away faster and you can even rush enemies while Double Time is active.

Her tactical, however, has a lot of uses. You can throw it out to conceal your, to cover yourself while getting a teammate up, and so on. And remember, you can launch it pretty far so don’t just do the throwing smoke at your feet thing. Try to hit your enemies with it to obscure their vision (really useful against snipers). There is also a neat little trick you can do with your tactical. The smoke bombs aren’t going to kill anyone but they do just a little bit of damage. Shoot smoke bombs into houses to check if there are people there. If there are, you’ll see that little hit marker.

Bangalore’s ultimate is kind of weak but also okay. The main reason for that is the 8 seconds you have to wait for the missiles to detonate. You can do basically the same stuff as with your tactical but better. You can cover an escape, cover a revive, use it to zone enemies and potentially force them to move out of cover. Another great use is throwing it in a house while inside. That building will be surrounded by missiles and you’ll be a bit safer if you need heals.

And the last thing I want to mention is kind of a no-brainer but try to use Bangalore if you have a Bloodhound on your team. These two Legends compliment each other so well and you can pull off some really sweet plays.

And that’s all I have for Bangalore folks. As always, if you think I missed anything, then please, leave it in the comments below. If you have some of your own tips that you want to share, leave that in the comments as well. For more on Apex Legends and pretty much anything gaming related stay tuned to GameBuz.
