Apex Legends has literally become an overnight success, but like every game, it has its’ share of issues. Players have noticed that some legends have bigger hitboxes than others. There’s also been a leak regarding a new legend. It’s not yet confirmed how legitimate the leak is.

First, let’s start with the hitbox problem. Namely, players have discovered that the hitboxes for the legends vary significantly in size. This means that some legends are easier targets than others. Credit to Reddit user Tractal for taking it upon himself to examine the hitboxes for every individual legend.

Wraith - 33 square cm
Lifeline - 37 square cm - 12% increase
Bloodhound - 37 square cm - 12% increase
Mirage - 44 square cm - 33% increase
Bangalore - 44 square cm - 33% increase
Pathfinder - 63 square cm - 90% increase
Caustic - 68 square cm - 105% increase
Gibraltar - 79 square cm - 140% increase

As you can see Gibraltar has a much larger hitbox than Wraith, who is the smallest character in the game. There is also a pretty big issue with Pathfinder. His hitbox specifically is a lot bigger than his character model. So much so that shots hit him even when shooting between his legs. This is the state of the game as of right now, but we can expect changes soon.

Moving on to the legend leak. The new legend is supposed to be called Octane. From what we’ve seen it seems like he’ll be a very mobile flanker, a bit like Wraith.

Passive Ability: Swift Mend
While not taking damage, Octane restores health over time.

Tactical Ability: Adrenaline Junkie
Move 30% faster for 8 seconds. Costs 10% Health. Immune to slows while active.

Ultimate Ability: Launch Pad
Deployable jump pad that catapults users through the air.

There are a lot more legends to come and nobody can say for sure who will be the first new one. We can expect to find that out with the start of Apex’s first season which will set to kick off sometime in March.
