Assassin's Creed II director Patrice Desilets, after 8 years of developing Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is finally revealing gameplay in the latest trailer. He also stated that the game will be released in 2019.
This third-person open-world survival game story is placed in Africa 10 million years ago and it gives you the opportunity to have your own story in human evolution. You will be faced with problems of primal survival - fighting for life, eating, drinking, finding shelter, protecting and teaching the offspring and much more.
The 3 main goals are to explore, expand and evolve, so you can advance your clan to the next generation. To explore in this game means to discover surroundings (from the lush jungle to the golden savanna) and learn. By learning about the new environment, you're conquering your fear and expanding your territory. "Grow your clan and find strength in numbers. Control different clan members, form bonds and work together. This is your only chance of survival", the official game website states. The third goal is to evolve by making new discoveries and choosing which attributes to learn. Your choices of the attributes will be passed on the next generations.
Panache Digital Games and a publisher Private Division want us to remember that evolution was not written in stone, by saying: "It is your path to forge". The exact date of the game release is still unknown, but Patrice Desilets stated that it will happen in 2019.
